West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) April 15, 2019 - On Nov. 25, 2018 Jody Russo was bicycling on Ocean Drive on Singer Island when he had a heart attack and collapsed on the side of the road. He stopped breathing and was turning blue. Fortunately, physician Dr. Ramon Vazquez was driving by. He stopped and quickly started doing CPR on Russo until paramedics arrived. After undergoing surgery, Russo spent several days recovering at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. He was released Thursday and is completely fine. Russo says Dr. Vazquez was in the right place at the right time.

According to Vazquez, Russo had a blocked artery to the left side of his heart. Such conditions, he says, are often fatal.
