kinky Monkey2074

Emily Leffew has been named executive director at Southern Care Assisted Living, a premier assisted living community providing Alzheimer’s and memory care services in Tifton, Ga. and the greater Tift County area.

Prior to her appointment, Leffew served as director of resident care at Renaissance Marquis retirement community in Rome, Ga., where she ensured residents’ well-being and trained 25 new Certified Nursing Assistants annually.

"Over the last few years, Emily has built a reputation for high levels of resident happiness and family satisfaction at our sister facility in Rome," said Bryan Cook, senior vice president of Legacy Senior Services, owner and operator of Southern Care Assisted Living. "In a modern caregiving community like Southern Care Assisted Living, Emily knows how to create an atmosphere of professionalism and compassion. Our seniors and their families will love her."

"My mother passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2012, and every day I am blessed by the privilege of caring for residents who are walking a similar journey -- just seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter. I’m honored to be serving the seniors of Tifton, backed by a team of compassionate, dedicated caregivers," Leffew said.

Leffew is a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Georgia, receiving her training at Georgia Northwestern Technical College in Rome. Before transitioning to the healthcare field, she served a number of years as general supervisor for Gerdau Ameristeel.

She has been married to Donnie Leffew for 31 years, and they have a daughter, Jessica Rentz, who is a math teacher at Tift County High School. She also has a stepdaughter, Rebecca Leffew, and stepson, David Leffew.
